Moving Link’s sword around wildly will confuse the eye, incapacitating it and opening the door. Entering this door will place Link across an eye. Next, players need to attack the red crystal ahead to unlock the door below Link. Doing this will stun the monster, letting players climb the vines and kill it.

After descending the initial staircase in the Skyview Temple and solving a few puzzles, players will need to cut down trees and hit the Deku Baba on top of the vine-covered ledge with the Slingshot.
